ANNOUNCEMENTS

Annual Audit: An audit of all treasurer’s books will be held Monday, February 8th at 6:00 p.m.

Used Computers: If you have any used computers, printers, keyboards, monitors, scanners, etc. that you would like to get rid of, please bring them to the church by Friday, February 12. Chuck Smeltz will be taking them to Mission Central on the 13th.

Immediate Need: The Awana program is in need of a person to record verses that the children say each week. See Jody Ramer or Heidi Carroll for more information as to the duties and requirements.

Family Ministries will again hold the annual Valentine Dinner on Saturday, February 13th at 5:30 P.M. The meal will consist of chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, dessert and drink. The cost will be $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for children 4-12, and under 4 are free. Tickets can be purchased in the multi-purpose room after each service through February 7th. Christian Classics - “Happy, Healthy Hearts” Come join us on February 16th at 7:00 P.M. when Terri Springer of the Shamokin Dam Health Center will give a short talk on heart healthy tips. She will also provide blood pressure screenings for anyone who would like to have it done.

Soup Sale: The Busy Bees will be making Ham and Bean and Vegetable Beef Soup for $5.00 a quart on Monday, February 22. Sign-up on the sheet at the office window by February 14th.

CPR Training: We are offering CPR training through the American Heart Association on February 27th from 9am –2 pm. This is a different training than last year, so those certified last year must still go through the training, not simply retake the test. The certification will last for two years through this program. There is a sign up sheet on the office window or call the church office to register.

Palm Branches: Do you have any palm branches from last year’s Palm Sunday service? If so, Pastor Kathy would like to use them to make ashes for Ash Wednesday’s service on February 17th. Bring them to the church by February 15th and place in the pastor’s office.

You are invited to join the small group that is viewing The Truth Project video series by Focus on the Family, “Combating the Lies of Society”. The series lasts for 13 weeks and will meet Sunday evening at 6:30 in the Youth Room beginning February 14th.

The UM Women will be selling Stanley Products. See any member to order.
