Lively, less formal, contemporary-styled worship begins at 8:20 a.m. Singing is led by our praise team under the leadership of Cory Geesaman. Puppets often share special moments with the children. Prayer time and a relevant, Scripture-based message round out this service of Praise and Celebration. The 10:50 a.m. service is a more traditional and formal style of worship. Organ and piano accompany the singing of hymns. The 25-voice Chancel Choir, under the direction of Julie Thomas, sings to both piano accompaniment and orchestration tracks. Occasionally the Prince of Peace Hand Bell Choir plays. Children at this service also interact with the puppets and other leaders. The same relevant, Scripture-based message is delivered at this service of Proclamation and Response.

Occasional Services
Brunch with Barry
Every two or three months this is an opportunity to learn more about who Christ Community Church is, what we stand for, and the direction we believe God is sending us. Held during the 9:40 Sunday School hour, participants learn and share over a brunch of fruit, pastries, juice and coffee.

Welcome Center
The Welcome Center is located just inside the front
doors. There you will find friendly, helpful people who can answer your
questions and provide materials and resources to make your time at Christ
Community more helpful.
Nursery Care
Infants to age
four are cared for by a paid caregiver and trained staff Sundays during 8:20
& 10:50 services. An enclosed outdoor play area is readily accessible from
the nursery. Children

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Volunteers Needed: Anyone willing to help with set-up for the Robison’s Farewell Dinner is asked to be at the church at 6 pm on Friday, June 19th.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: We will be registering children for VBS after each service today. VBS begins on Monday June 22nd, 6:00-8:30 pm and continues through Friday, June 26th. This year’s theme is SunRock Kids Camp, where kids build their lives on the rock: Jesus! A Kick-off Campfire will be held on Sunday, June 21, 5-8 pm, with hot dogs, smores, scavenger hunt, crafts and tie-dying.
A one-page sheet of the Basic Outline and Summary Statements of the Bible study on women and leadership is available at the Welcome Center. Full copies of the 25-page study will be made available upon request through the Church Office.
Needed: Cake plates and three-tiered serving platters are needed for Saturday night’s reception. Those who can provide one or more of these items are asked to contact Cindy Inch, Jill Nace, or Sue Treas.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIP HELP NEEDED: Four boys from Higher Hope (including Nick Gittens and twin boys who live with the Gittens family) have registered for summer camp. As a mission outreach of Christ Community, it would be great if we could cover half of each of their camping fees, or $167.50 for each of them. The church has budgeted money to cover half of the fees for all who want to attend camp, but the amount budgeted is very close to used up. Checks should be made payable to CCUMC and designated “Camp Scholarships.” Thank you!
The following are needed for snack time at VBS. A box will be placed in the multi-purpose room for your donations. Please label ice cream “VBS” and place in the freezer in the kitchen.

At camp this week: Erica Thomas, Carissa Wolfe, and Joanne Kerstetter will be at Clown Camp at Greene Hills this week. Notes or cards of encouragement are always appreciated by campers. And Christa Clark will be a counselor and Ernie and Liz Rogers will be running the craft program at Wesley Forest. The address is: Wesley Forest, PO Box 35, Weikert, PA 17885.
