Refreshments? It’s a sure thing!

C.O.O.L. Picnic Informational Meeting – The C.O.O.L. Board will be holding a picnic for anyone interested in learning more about how they can help. The picnic will be held at the pavilion on Sunday, September 22nd, after second service. We will be supplying hamburgers, hot dogs, paper products, and drinks. We are asking those attending to bring a covered dish to share. Please come join us and find out how you can help with this awesome ministry. Remember, many hands make light the work.

Apple Dumpling Sale – The Bees are busy making apple dumplings. A single pan is $3.50, and a pan of 2 is $7.00. The deadline to order is Sunday, September 22nd. A sign up sheet is posted on the church office window. Pick up will be on Monday, September 30th, from 1:00-5:00 pm. Extra forms are available.

Help Needed – The youth group is sponsoring the lemonade stand at the Selinsgrove Street Fair on September 28th. We are in need of volunteers to help man the stand, shifts are about 1 1/2 hours long. We are also in need of coolers and two 5-gallon water coolers. Coolers need to be in the Multi-purpose room by Wednesday evening, September 25th, and will be returned September 29th. Sign up sheets are on the office window. If you have any questions, please contact Christina McDermott.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes are in the Narthex. This is a great way to share Christ’s love in a tangible way with children in foreign countries who may have never received a gift or heard about Jesus’ love. Please read the brochure inside which contains instructions on how to pack your shoebox, suggested items for your gifts, and what not to include. Your boy/ girl label can be found on this brochure and an envelope to enclose your $9.00 which you will place inside the shoebox. Please do not tape your box shut. If you need a rubber band to secure your box, ask the church office. The deadline to have filled shoeboxes to the church is Sunday, Nov. 17th.

Sunday Night Prayer – Please know that the prayer requests that you have placed in our prayer boxes are being prayed over weekly. Please submit also your praises when prayer is answered. All are invited to attend.

First Aid Kits – There have been 6 first aid kits stationed throughout the church. First aid kits have been placed in the Narthex, Kitchen, Busy Bees prep room, the Preschool hallway and in the Nursery. There is also a fist aid kit above the AED. If you need to use items from inside any kit, please let the secretary or Pastor Curt know so it can be refilled.

Tweener’s Family Ministry – We had a great time on September 8th at the Troxell’s for our kick-off meeting. We did a lot of planning to start the year and please always remember, you and your family, including kiddos, are welcome at each event so whatever fits with your schedule we would love to have you join us!!
